DENVER, Colo. — The Regis University Department of Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Keeton Peery as the new Assistant Women's Basketball Coach ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Peery comes to the Rangers after five seasons of serving as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Oklahoma Christian University, and the 2022-23 season as the Head Coach of the Oklahoma Christian Academy girls' basketball team.

"Keeton has a great demeanor, is an excellent communicator, and has a very positive and hard-working mindset," said Regis head women's basketball coach, Molly Marrin. "He will bring great energy and experience to our team and I am thrilled to be working alongside him. I know he will connect genuinely with our players, staff, and athletic department."

Peery is a two-time graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma, earning his bachelor's degree in Public Relations-Advertising and a master's degree in Exercise Science.

The Lindsay, Okla., native now joins a Regis women's basketball team coming off a historic 2022-23 campaign that saw the Rangers win the program's first RMAC regular season and RMAC Tournament championships since 2006-07.

"I am extremely excited and honored to join Coach Marrin and the Ranger family," Peery said. "She has established a culture of excellence here at Regis that values hard work, high character, and high academic achievement. I'm excited to contribute to that culture and I cannot wait to start working with the exceptional young women in the Regis program."

In addition to his recruiting and game planning skillset, Peery is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He served as a strength and conditioning coach with Performance Course, overseeing programs at Oklahoma Baptist University and Washington High School in Washington, Okla. from 2018-2020.

Peery's work outside the collegiate ranks also included three seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, serving as the NBA franchise's youth basketball coordinator.

In 2020, Peery was named to the prestigious NextGen Under 30 honor list -- which recognizes the next generation of Oklahoma's innovative, creative and inspiring individuals who push the boundaries in 15 categories of human endeavor -- in the "Sports and Outdoors" category.
