COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) has officially released its 2024-25 Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll, and Regis University has been picked to finish third in the league. The poll was voted on by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their teams.
Regis collected 160 points in the poll, including one first vote.
Colorado School of Mines was picked to win the league, earning 191 points and 11 of the 15 first place votes. MSU Denver followed them in second with 176 and two top votes.
Closely following Regis was Black Hills State (S.D.) at 157, and defending regular season champions Colorado Mesa rounded out the top five with 142 votes and the final first place nod.
CSU Pueblo narrowly edged out University of Colorado Colorado Springs for sixth place 123-122. New Mexico Highlands came in eighth, following a large gap in the points, with 90. In ninth is the 2024 RMAC Tournament Champions Fort Lewis with 87 points, two points ahead of South Dakota Mines.
Western Colorado (74), Westminster (48), Adams State (47), Colorado Christian (41), and Chadron State (32) close out the poll.
Regis, led by returning First-Team All-RMAC guard Chase Mayo Harmon and honorable mention Eddy Egun, being their season on Friday, Nov. 8 as they host St. Mary's University (Texas). They begin RMAC play on Thursday, Dec. 5 on the road at New Mexico Highlands.
As the season concludes, the 2025 RMAC Men's Basketball Tournament will take place on March 4-8 on the campus of the highest seed. Following that, the 2025 NCAA DII Men's Basketball Championship will begin March 25 at Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. The tournament will conclude on the 29th with the championship game.
