DURANGO, Colo - The Regis University Volleyball fall against Fort Lewis College on Friday night, 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 19-25, 18-25). The Rangers fall to 10-9 (6-3 RMAC), while the Eagles improve to 8-12 (4-6 RMAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED
Â
In the first set against Fort Lewis, Regis established an early lead, starting with kills from
Amelia Davis and
Halle Theis helped push the score to 3-0. Skyhawks started to take momentum going on a 4-point run taking the lead, 8-12. Rangers stopped the run with back-to-back kills from
Halle Theis and
Braiziah Dixon, 14-19. The teams would alternate points, Rangers attempted to change the momentum, but it would not be enough, Fort Lewis would take the first set, 21-25.

Rangers came out swinging, gaining energy and taking the lead 8-3. The Rangers continued their lead with kills from
Bryn McNair and
Lindsey Cure, 15-5. Skyhawks started to close their lead, but the Rangers closed the gap going on a 5-point run capitalizing on the Skyhawks' errors, closing the set 25-17.

After falling behind to start the third, Dixon recorded two kills looking to close the gap.
Amelia Davis posted a solo block and a kill to gain momentum for the Rangers. Fort Lewis continued to stay ahead throughout the set using the Rangers errors to extend their lead. Skyhawks took the set 19-25.

In the fourth set both teams started off sharing runs until the Skyhawks took the lead 5-12. The Rangers stopped the drive with a kill Davis and Cure, closing the gap, 9-13. Regis and Fort Lewis traded points, but the Skyhawks would run away with the set 18-25.
