SCHEDULE UPDATE: Due to severe inclement weather in the Denver forecast the weekend of Feb. 9-11, the NGWSD Clinic has been postponed until later this spring. A new date for the free clinic has not yet been set, but will be announced on regisrangers.com as soon as one is finalized. We apologize for any inconvenience.

DENVER, Colo. — In honor of the 38th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day, celebrated this year on Wednesday, February 7th, the Regis University Department of Athletics is excited to announce its third annual youth clinic will again be held this spring. Due to inclement weather postponing the original clinic, a rescheduled date has not yet been announced. Please continue to check regisrangers.com for the latest update regarding the clinic.

Hosted inside the Berce Athletic Center on campus, the clinic is free to girls eighth grade or younger. Young female athletes in attendance will have the chance to meet some Ranger student-athletes and participate in any of the seven featured sports including basketball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, cross country, volleyball as well as an introduction to strength and conditioning.

The purpose of the clinic, which welcomed a record 133 attendees in 2023, is to introduce young female athletes to new sports while also teaching the importance of women in sports.

Our NGWSD events have been a huge success. The Regis University Athletic Department is thrilled to host this event to expose young girls to sports and to encourage them to participate in sports and be physically active," said Regis Associate AD/Senior Woman Administrator, Kate Whalen. "The day also gives our female student-student athletes the opportunity to give back to their sport and to the community."

Pizza and drinks will be provided following the event during a Meet & Greet session. Attendees and a parent will also be granted free admission to a Regis University athletic event the day of the clinic.
