Regis volleyball earns 10th straight AVCA Team Academic award, posts a top 20% GPA in Division II

DENVER, Colo. — The Regis University volleyball program added another accolade for the 2023-24 squad earlier this month, earning its 10 th straight American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT.

More than 1,400 high school and collegiate volleyball programs from across the country were represented after maintaining a year-long GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).

The Rangers, winners of 19 total AVCA Team Academic Awards, were also in elite company as one of just 31 total teams in Division II to earn a spot on the AVCA Team Academic Award Honor Roll, representing the top 20 percent of team GPAs in each division.

Graduate student middle blocker Nadine Burbrink was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American this past January while the Rangers had 10 total players earn RMAC All-Academic honors during the fall of 2023.
