COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference was announced the 11th edition of its Men's Basketball Players of the Week, and Regis guard Kobe Sanders has been selected as the Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week.
This is Sanders' second accolade of the year, and he is joined by the Defensive Player of the Week: Cassius Carmichael of Fort Lewis .
Sanders continued his hot shooting streak, as the graduate guard averaged 32 PPG, shooting 56.8% from the field, 56% from three, and 88.9% from the line. The RMAC assists leader added seven more dimes on the week as Regis extended their win streak to a league-leading seven matches. Sanders set a career-high with 36 points against Adams State, as RU held on for an 84-83 win, then poured in 28 more against New Mexico Highlands University, as a shorthanded Regis team won, 87-65.
Sanders and the Rangers return to action on Thursday, Feb 6, on the road at Westminster University (Utah) at 7:30 pm.
