ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Regis University Softball team suffered a pair of losses to St. Cloud State University (Minn.) on Sunday Morning, 12-1 and 4-1. The Rangers fall to 1-8 on the year, while the Huskies climb to 5-1.
GAME ONE
Morgan Norris would double in the top of the first, but the Huskies would take control of the game early, scoring three runs in the bottom of the inning. After a Mya Chacon single, St. Cloud extended their lead in the bottom of the third with a solo home run.
The bottom of the fourth would be a huge inning for the Huskies, as they scored eight runs on four hits, including two doubles, four walks, and one Ranger error. In the top of the fifth, Jessica Isbell singles, and later got home on an error, and Chacon singled, but he Rangers fell, 12-1.
GAME NOTES
Chacon led five Rangers with a hit, going 2-3

Sophia Garcia (L, 0-1) recorded the loss
Emma Eickhoff (W, 2-0) earned the win, posting three K's
GAME TWO
Ariana Ybarra was walked to start the second game. She then stole second, and reached home on a Norris fly ball. However, SCSU took the lead again in the second with a sacrifice fly and a Ranger error leading to two runs. Neither team recorded a hit in the third, but St. Cloud put up their third run in the fourth on an RBI bunt.
The Huskies then homered in the fifth, as Regis only produced one more baserunner, with Olivia Wick's single in the top of the seventh.
