DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Men's Basketball team earned the No. 2 seed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, and is set to host No. 7 University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Tuesday night at 7 pm.
The Rangers finished the season with a 16-12 record, including going 14-6 in RMAC play. The Mountain Lions went 17-11, 11-9 in league action.
Regis had four players with double digit scoring averages this season, led by Chase Mayo Harmon at 15.5 points per game (3rd in RMAC), Jalen Brown at 13.5, Eddy Egun at 11.5, and Kobe Sanders at 10.9.
Sanders led the RMAC in total assists with 116 (4.1/game, 2nd in RMAC), while he and Mayo Harmon ranked top-10 in 3-pt shooting percentage, 41.9% and 34.6%, respectively.
Trey Bryant led the Rangers in rebounds (133, 4.8/game), steals (38), and blocks (18), while adding 9.5 PPG.
William Becker lead UCCS with 14.7 PPG and 9.1 rebounds per game. He is also second in the RMAC with 46 blocks.
RU went 2-0 against UCCS this season, including a 67-56 win in the regular season finale in Colorado Springs, and an 83-78 win on January 16 in Denver.
