DENVER, Colo – The Regis University Women's Basketball team earned the No. 7 seed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, and is set to travel to No. 2 Western Colorado University on Tuesday night.
The Rangers, who won the 2024 Conference Tournament, went 13-14 (11-9 RMAC) in 2024-25, while the Mountaineers went 20-7 (15-5 RMAC).
The Rangers were the backcourt duo of Erin Fry and Athena Saragoza, both averaging over 18 points per game. Both also rank in the top six in the RMAC in PPG.
Saragoza leads NCAA DII with 3.22 three pointers made per game. Her 35.8% from deep also leads the conference.
Fry has dished 144 assists, ranking second in the conference, Fiona Snashall grabs 8.1 rebounds per game (8th in RMAC), while Jessica Bollwahn grabs 7.0 (11th in RMAC), and Taylin Serlen has blocked 29 shots (6th in RMAC).
Western Colorado boasts the best team defense in the RMAC, holding opponents to 56.4 PPG and 34.8 FG%.
WCU won the regular season meeting, 68-50, on December 14 in Denver. Regis ended the season on a three-game winning streak.
