HOW IT HAPPENED
Olafur Styrmission grabbed an offensive rebound, leading to the first basket of the game, then added threes on two straight possessions for the 4-8 lead. He stayed hot with a third triple after a Trey Bryant pull up jumper, and Chase Mayo Harmon's third assist of the game led to a Chigozie Achara and-one layup and the 19-9 lead. The Skyhawks managed to close it to a two-point game before Mayo Harmon converted an and-one of his own. Jalen Brown scored four unanswered points before Achara threw down a dunk, but FLC scored the final five points of the period, and Regis led, 35-32 going into the break.
Olafur started the second half with another bucket from deep, and a pair of free throws, but the Skyhawks had an answer for each basket. Ty Cox scored on a hook shot, followed by two Brown layups to bring the score to 50-42 with 11:32 left in the game. Jalen Page had back-to-back assists to Styrmission and a Mayo Harmon three as RU pushed the lead to 11, but Fort Lewis began to chip away at the lead, closing it 59-53 with a pair from the line. With three minutes, an FLC layup brought the score to 64-59, but Bryant grabbed an offensive board, and powered up a layup, earning a three-point play. Page added one more layup, as the Rangers won, 69-62.
