ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Regis University Baseball team ended their 2025 regular season with a 14-5 win over Adams State University (Colo.), 14-5. The Rangers move up to 34-14 (24-6 RMAC), while the Grizzlies fall to 17-33 (13-19 RMAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers got two batters on in the first inning, but did not score until the second, when CJ Difiglia hit into an error, which helped Peter Goldy reach home. Garrett Rede then started the third with a single, followed by an Adam Paniagua double, which would set up Maxim Fullerton for a two-RBI single.
The fourth inning saw a lead-off double by Difiglia, who was then batted in on Clayton Conn's double. Paniagua singled to bring him home, and a Fullerton triple pushed the lead to 6-0. The Grizzlies earned their first two hits of the game in the fourth which, along with an RU error, scored them three runs.
ASU cut the lead to 6-4 in the fifth, scoring on an RBI single. However, the Rangers would get back on the board in the seventh behind a George Smith two-RBI single, and Conn sacrifice fly. Adams State led off the bottom of the frame with a solo home run, and Fullerton would return the favor in the top of the eighth. Difilia also tripled in the inning, scoring Jack Moulin and extending the lead to 11-5.
Fullerton completed the cycle with an RBI double in the top of the ninth, driving in Rede. Ethan Wood then grounded out, but still scored Paniagua. Matt Graf came in to pinch hit, and capitalized on the opportunity, singling to center and batting in Fullerton. The Grizzles loaded the bases in the bottom of the final inning, but did not score, and Regis won, 14-5.
