The amateur-professional league consists of six teams. Prior to the draft, amateur/draft-eligible players compete on 34-man rosters, while after the draft, the rosters grow to 46 players on professional contracts.

The Phoenix, Ariz. native posted the Ranger's second-highest single season totals in runs scored (74), doubles (22), and runners caught stealing (18). He produced 90 hits, one triple, was walked 32 times, and on defense, he had 302 put outs and 30 assists on .994 fielding %.

He led the way as the team set single-season records in wins (35), slugging % (.607), on base % (.465), runs scored (560), doubles (139), home runs (86), RBIs (520), total bases (1069), and 34 runs in a single game.
