DENVER, Colo. – United Soccer Coaches has released its second Women's Soccer Top 25 Coaches Poll, and the Rangers are receiving votes in the poll.
Regis was also receiving votes in last week's poll.
The Rangers are coming off a 2-0 week that saw a 4-0 win over Friends University (Kan.) (NAIA), and a 2-1 victory over Seattle Pacific University (Wash.), who was ranked #21 in last week's poll, and moved up to #20 this week.
Morgan Black was named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week, and Elsa Nolen was voted Offensive Player of the Week for their efforts leading the team.
On the season, Regis is 1-1 against ranked teams, with their win over SPU, and loss earlier this year at #15 Dallas Baptist University (now ranked #5).
This week, RU hosts Emporia State University (Wash.) on Friday, Sept 17 at 7 pm, and California State University, San Bernardino on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1 pm.
