COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Cross Country team began their 2025 season running at the 18th Annual University of Colorado Colorado Springs Rust Buster Meet on Saturday morning.
The Rangers placed fifth out of six teams with 144 team points.
The host Mountain Lions won the team title, while Kseniya Nikanorov of UCCS was the individual champion.
Allie Braney led the way for Regis, scoring nine points and taking 12th place, with her personal best 5k time of 18:13.0. Caitie Slattery would score 29 points for the Rangers, finishing 53rd, with a mark of 19:42.5. Not far behind was Mila Stamper, competing in her first collegiate meet, with a time of 20:12.5 (64th, 33 points). Madi Gifford (21:29.8), Valeria Bustos (24:45.5), and Adrianna Ventura Hill (25:38.2) scored 36, 37, and 38 points, respectively.
Every Ranger posted their personal best times at the meet.
RU returns to action on Saturday, September 20 at the Metropolitan State University-Denver Roadrunners Invite at Washington Park in Denver.
