PUEBLO, Colo. – The Regis University Men's Soccer team, ranked #24 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, drew with #8 CSU-Pueblo on Friday night, 1-1. The Rangers move to 4-2-3 (2-0-1 RMAC), while the ThunderWolves sit at 7-0-2 (1-0-2 RMAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Regis took two early shots, with the attempt from Blaise Richard landing on goal, but saved. The Rangers defense was stout, holding CSU-Pueblo to just one shot in the first half, while Richard added a second shot, and Jan Grillitsch took a shot as well. But the match would go into the break as a 0-0 tie.
Zach Jennings saved the first shot of the second half, while RU took three in quick succession, the shots by Grillitsch and Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar both landing on target but being saved. The ThunderWolves would be the first on the board, putting in a goal off a rebound off the post at 59:25. Regis put the pressure on late, earning a trio of corner kicks. Betancourt-Tovar earned a SOG off the first, while off the second, Abram Wilson was able to find Grillitsch, who snuck the ball in behind the defense, evening the score with under five minutes to play, and securing the tie.

· Regis outshot Pueblo 9 (5) to 6 (2), led by Grilitsch and Betancourt-Tovar with three (2) apiece
· Jennings recorded one save
· RU took eight corners to two from CSUP
· It was the Rangers seventh match against a ranked opponent, and their fourth against a top-10 team
