Rangers start Road Series at New Mexico Highlands

LAS VEGAS, N.M. – The Regis University Softball team started their road series with New Mexico Highlands University on Saturday afternoon, but lost to the Cowgirls, 8-15 and 0-5. The Rangers fall to 12-28 (11-23 RMAC), while NMHU climbs to 15-31 (13-21 RMAC).

GAME ONE

Highlands scored first in the game, using two hits and a pair of Ranger errors in the bottom of the first to score two runs. Bella Bordine posted a single in the second, but the Cowgirls added to their lead in the bottom of the frame, using three singles to score two more runs. The rangers battled back in the third, starting with an Adisyn Rademacher single, followed by one from Olivia Wick, and Jane Quinn getting hit by a pitch to load the bases. Wick and Rademacher both scored again in the top of the fourth on Porter's triple. Kristin Ingram brought her in with a single, brining the game back within one. But again, the Cowgirls had an answer, scoring three more times off three hits and two RU misplays. Bordine and Zoey Langerak both reached on walks in the fifth, but neither reached home, while NMHU scored two more unearned runs in the bottom.
