COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released the 2026 Men's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Poll this afternoon with the Regis Rangers being picked to finish 13th in this year's standings.
In each year's preseason poll each of the conference's 15 program's coaches come together to vote on projections without getting to vote for their own school. In addition, the RMAC's preseason team was also released in conjunction with the poll and is determined by placing returning athletes in order of their finish at last year's RMAC Championship.
The Rangers garnered 43 points in this year's poll for their 13th place prediction with them being picked one spot higher than last year.
The Rangers are coming off a 2025 season where they competed in five different events with them ending the year racing in the NCAA DII South Central Regionals in Pueblo, Colo. and having multiple runners earn personal best times to finish the season. Five of the team's runners from last season return this fall while also adding four new members.
Colorado School of Mines led this year's poll with a total of 190 points as they were picked to win the conference while coming off a second-place finish at the 2025 RMAC Cross Country Championship and third place showing at the NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country National Championships. Adams State was voted second with 188 points with Western Colorado having 163 points to round out the top three schools.
