DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University women's basketball team has officially announced their upcoming schedule for the 2026-27 season.
The Rangers will play a 28-contest regular season with 26 of the matchups being sanctioned games and two of them being exhibitions against DI competition.
Overall, six games will be nonconference, two will be exhibitions and the remaining 20 will be RMAC conference games.
Returning to lead the Rangers once again is Head Coach Jason Kohler who is in his second season at the helm while being assisted on his staff by Landon Lopez and Erin Fry. Former Ranger basketball player Kaylin Venick also joined the staff this fall after playing a season ago.
For the team, a total of seven players have returned from last year's squad with their also being eight newcomers, including five transfers and three freshmen.
Caitie Turnbow, Emily Allison and Savanna Staff serve as the main returners with each of them appearing in over 75% of last year's games and all recording over 300 minutes played.
On the slate for this season, the Rangers will begin their fall by taking part in their annual deal with the Lone Star Conference for a South Central Regional Crossover with them facing off against Eastern New Mexico University and Angelo State on the road.
They then take to the hardwood in the first of their two exhibitions to follow with them battling University of Denver on Nov. 16.
A pair of nonconference games against University of Jamestown and Cal State San Bernadino are next in line before a second exhibition against University of Wyoming takes place on Dec. 2.
A quartet of conference games of against Colorado School of Mines, MSU Denver, Fort Lewis College and New Mexico Highlands are the only RMAC action the Rangers will have in December with them also taking on Adams State in a nonconference bout.
Following the new year, Regis will play one more nonconference game against Northern New Mexico College on Jan. 3 before they then begin a 16-game conference stretch all the way into the end of February.
Western Colorado, Colorado Mesa, Chadron State, South Dakota Mines, Colorado Christian, UCCS, MSU Denver and Colorado School of Mines will be the opponents for January.
February will feature Adams State, Fort Lewis, Westminster, Western Colorado, Black Hills State, Chadron State, CSU Pueblo and Colorado Christian.
January will have six games take place at the Regis Field House with February having four.
RMAC Tournament play begins on March 2nd and runs until the 6th.
