Box Score LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Regis University volleyball team stumbled on the road at the Colorado Christian Cougars (15-9, 7-6 RMAC), Friday night. The Rangers were shutout by the Cougars in the 3-0 loss. Regis now sits in a three-way tie for fourth in the league as CCU is still a game behind with four regular season matches remaining.

Colorado Christian jumped out to hold an early lead in the first. RU rallied off five straight to take their first lead of the set, 13-12. CCU responded with a run of their own to regain control and put a halt to the Regis attack. The Cougars took the first set 25-16.

The Rangers fell behind at the start of the second as they tied the score a couple times but CCU never relinquished full control. Another late set rally by Colorado Christian solidified the 25-19 second set win as the hole for RU became deeper.

The Cougars offense was hitting on all cylinders. Regis could not slow down their attackers and fell in the third set 25-21.

Katie Klein led RU offensively with 12 kills and hitting at a clip of .290.
Maggie Steward added seven and
Cedar Bellows chipped in with six. Regis was outhit 45-39 with the Cougars producing a .310 attack percentage.

The Rangers travel to Golden, Colo. to take on No. 22 Colorado Mines (17-5, 11-2 RMAC) Saturday, October 29 at 5 p.m.
