BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Rangers shot their best round in the final 18 holes of play at the Western Washington Invitational to finish fifth.

Regis shot a 287 team score in their final round of play. Day one ended with scores of 291 and 292 for a 583 total. Their 54-hole total was 870. They were placed tied for seventh at the conclusion of the first 36 holes.

Nicholas Tenuta matched his first 18 holes score finishing with a 72 and fifth place. Tenuta ended day one tied for second after shooting a 72 and 68. Â His 212 total put him just six strokes behind the individual champion.

Carson Little played his best round in his final trip. Little earned a tied for 14th finish shooting a 71, 76 and 70.

Collin Bordeaux followed just a stroke behind shooting a pair of 74s and a 70. Bordeaux finished tied for 18th with a 218 total.

Tyler Zhang shot a 77, 74 and 75 for a 226 54-hole total.

Austin Byers played his best round on the first 18 holes. Byers finished with a 231 total.

RU travels to Goodyear, Ariz. next week, October 2 and 3 to compete in the Western New Mexico Intercollegiate. Tee time is schedule for 8 am at Estrella Golf Club.
