ALAMOSA, Colo.  – Regis University women's basketball team (11-10, 7-9 RMAC) handed Adams State University (2-18, 2-14 RMAC) their 18th loss of the season this afternoon, putting on a dominating 93-57 performance in Alamosa, Colorado.

How it Happened: After a thrilling first half of play, the Rangers led Adams State by a margin of 38 to 22. Regis put together a highlight reel of shooting from downtown, going 7-for-18 for 38.9% behind the arc.

RU jumped out to a 10-3 advantage with over seven minutes remaining in the first quarter on a pair of threes from Elly Walters and lay-ins by Alex Nelson and Majestie Robinson. But on their home turf, the Grizzlies battled back and equalized at 10 apiece with 5:14 to go. The two teams knotted things up again at 14 respectively, but behind back-to-back triples from McKenna Bishop and Walters, the Rangers held a 20-14 lead going into the second period.

Robinson knocked down the fifth three of the contest which would give way to a 14-3 scoring stretch for the Rangers that spanned over three and a half minutes and included treys from Emma Sterkel and Morgan Ducklow.

Regis took their 16-point advantage and went on to extend it to 25 by the end of the third. Whitney Jacob and Sterkel rattled home a pair of threes to open the second half before Shelby Espinosa knocked down her first bucket of the night.

By the seventh minute of the final quarter, Regis had jumped out to a commanding 85-51 lead behind a Maddie Hill triple. Bishop added a 14th three to cap the game and give RU an impressive 93-57 victory.
