COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2019 Preseason Coaches' Poll picks the Regis University volleyball team to take fourth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Regis tabulated 184 points in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Rangers completed their 2018 season with a 19-10 record overall and a 14-4 RMAC record to finish fifth in the conference.
Colorado School of Mines, last season's regular-season conference champion, is predicted to finish first again with 214 points, more than any other school in the RMAC. This tally included nine first-place votes.
Colorado Mesa, the 2018 RMAC Tournament champion, placed second in the voting with 209 points, while Dixie State had 204 points to take third in the poll. CMU and DSU had four first-place votes and three first-place votes, respectively.
RU will be on the road when they begin the 2019 season at Alaska Anchorage on Thurs., Sept. 5 at 9 p.m. MT.
