Regis Earns No. 3 Seed in Midwest Region of NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – For the fourth-consecutive season, the Regis University women's lacrosse team punched their ticket to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Women's Lacrosse Midwest Regional Tournament.

Regis, the defending Midwest Regional Champions from 2018 and 2019, were given the No. 3 seed in the 2021 Midwest Region of the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Tournament. They are pitted against No. 2 seeded Lindenwood University in the first round of the tournament.

Lindenwood will also serve as the tournament host. The University of Indianapolis was awarded the No. 1 seed as they knocked off Lindenwood in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Tournament last weekend. As the No. 1 seed, the Greyhounds have earned a first-round bye and will face the winner of the matchup between the Rangers and Lions. The Midwest Regional Tournament Championship will be played on Sunday, May 16. Both games will be played at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Missouri.

The tournament will begin on Friday, May 14 with the battle between RU and LU. Regis seeks to avenge their only loss of the season which came at the hands of the Lindenwood in the first game of the season. Since then, the Rangers have won 14-straight games on their way to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) regular season and conference tournament titles. The full tournament bracket can be seen below, including the breakdown of each of the four regions.
