GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Information Directors of America (COSIDA) Academic All-District Awards recognized
Jessi Case from the Regis University softball team this afternoon when the All-District Teams were announced.
Case earns her first COSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2021 a little while after she became the first All-America performer for the Regis University softball team since 2011.
In the classroom, she totes a 3.88 GPA as a Business Administration major. The shortstop had a very impressive season in 2021, leading to numerous accolades including D2CCA All-America Third Team, D2CCA All-Region First Team, All-RMAC First Team and Academic All-RMAC First Team honors. This award joins a host of others that Case has received this season.
The Loveland, Colorado native posted career highs in nearly every statistical category this season. Most impressively, Case finished the season ranked third in all of Division II with a .500 batting average.
Case posted career-highs in batting average (.500), at-bats (116), runs scored (40), hits (58), doubles (7), triples (3), home tuns (8), RBI's (26), total bases (95), slugging percentage (.819), on base percentage (.543) and 27 stolen bases.
Now that she has been selected as an All-District performer, Case will advance to the COSIDA Academic All-America Ballot.
