Parker nets career-high six goals, No. 6 Rangers cruise to 17-3 road win against FLC

DURANGO, Colo. — The No. 6 ranked Regis University women's lacrosse team pushed its win streak to 10 games on Sunday, cruising to a 17-3 road win over Fort Lewis College down at Ray Dennison Memorial Field in Durango.

Senior attacker Alexis Parker paced all scorers with a career-high six goals and Regis (10-0 overall, 5-0 RMAC) as a team dominated the total shots (26-11), shots on goal (21-7) and draw control (20-4) categories against the Skyhawks (3-7 overall, 3-3 RMAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED: Regis dominated the first half on Sunday, owning a 14-2 lead at the break and scoring 11 straight goals between the 12:08 mark of the first quarter to the 7:27 mark of the second, ballooning its lead to 12-1.

Parker was the catalyst as she scored the first goal of the game just 27 seconds in and netted four straight goals in the second quarter alone.

Junior attacker Gabby Rothermund scored a career-high three goals — all coming in the first half — and added another career high with eight draw controls.

Graduate student attacker Kyleigh Peoples tallied two of her three goals of the afternoon during the first-half surge, as well, while notching a team-high two assists to give her a five-point afternoon.

Junior midfielder Bailey Truex was the fourth Ranger to produce a multi-goal performance Sunday with two goals, while graduate student Hannah Krats, freshman Emily Spaeth and senior Camille Watling each added one goal apiece to round out the Regis scoring.

In net, sophomore goalkeeper Elizabeth Myotte got the start and recorded one save during the first half en route to picking up her fourth win of the season.

Freshman goalkeeper Brigit Goetsch stopped three of the four shots she faced over the final 30 minutes, raising her save percentage to .444 on the spring. Goetsch and Myotte (.487) rank third and first, respectively, in the RMAC through 10 games played.

UP NEXT: Regis returns home for a mid-week matchup against the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on Tuesday. First draw is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Regis Turf Fields.
The Rangers beat the Mountain Lions in their first matchup this season, earning an 18-4 road win back on Feb. 21 to open RMAC action.
