Peoples and Krats earn IWLCA All-Americans honors

| By:
DENVER, Colo. — The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced the 2022 Division II All-American teams on Thursday, with a pair of Regis University student-athletes earning recognition as two of the best lacrosse players in the country.

For the second straight year, graduate student attacker Kyleigh Peoples garnered First Team All-American honors, while fellow graduate student Hannah Krats earned Third Team All-American for a Rangers team that finished 19-1 overall and as RMAC regular season and tournament champions for the third consecutive year.

Peoples is the first player in program history to be named First Team All-American twice in a career and just the third Ranger to make back-to-back appearances on the All-American teams, joining Jada Bonner (2017-2018) and Sarah Myres (2018-2019).

During her five-year career at Regis, Peoples solidified herself as one of the best players in program history. A three-time RMAC Attacker of the Year, Peoples leads all Rangers in career assists with 129 and free-position goals (62).

Peoples posted a team-high 55 goals and 80 total points this spring, placing her second all-time in program history in those two categories with 209 career goals and 338 career points.

Krats earned her All-American honors with a sensational 2022 spring of her own after coming over to Regis from California State University-Fresno. The Littleton native finished second on the team with 42 goals scored and 66 total points. Defensively, the midfielder added 30 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers while also playing an active role on the draw with 35 draw controls.
