COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced Monday the First Team All-Academic and Honor Roll teams for women's lacrosse, with a total of 13 Regis University student-athletes receiving recognition.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters. First Team All-Academic members were voted on by the conference's sports information directors for meeting those criteria as well as demonstrating outstanding performance on the field.

The No. 3 ranked and undefeated Rangers (17-0 overall, 12-0 RMAC) placed four student-athletes on First Team All-Academic in graduate student attacker Kyleigh Peoples, seniors Lucy Johnson and Maya Quigley, as well as junior midfielder Bailey Truex.

Peoples, a three-time RMAC Honor Roll selection, leads the conference in scoring with 44 goals and 66 total points this spring. A two-time RMAC Attacker of the Year, Peoples has also excelled in the classroom with a 3.43 GPA as a Health major.

Monday's announcement marks the second consecutive First Team All-Academic nods for Quigley and Johnson.

Johnson has set career highs for the Rangers this spring in goals scored (20) and total points (26) while starting 13 of 15 games played. The senior out of Colorado Springs also boasts a 4.0 GPA as a Health major.

As for Quigley, the steady defenseman has racked up 16 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers while sporting a perfect 4.0 GPA as a Communications major.

Truex, a RMAC Honor Roll winner as a sophomore, has taken another stride forward this spring as she ranks third on the team and tied for 8th in the RMAC with 30 goals scored this season; double her output of 15 goals in 16 games as a sophomore.
