Rangers atop RMAC Coaches' Preseason Poll ahead of 2024 season

| By:
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released the results of the 2024 Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll on Thursday, with the four-time RMAC Tournament defending champion Regis University women's lacrosse team coming in at the top spot.

The Rangers received five of the six available first-place votes — coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team — and finished with 25 vote points, ahead of Colorado Mesa University (21) in second and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (17) in third.

Regis has dominated the conference in recent years, racking up the last four RMAC Tournament championships and regular season championships dating back to 2019, bringing their total RMAC championship number to 10 since the beginning of the 2014 season under head coach Sarah Kellner, who enters her 18th season at the helm.

With 18 returners coming back from a 2023 squad, including RMAC Midfielder of the Year in senior Lily Ferguson and IWLCA All-American midfielder Bailey Truex, the Rangers are poised to pick up where they left off after finishing 17-2 overall and as the top seed in the Division II Midwest Region last spring.

Regis is set to open the 2024 campaign on Friday, March 1 down in Melbourne, Florida as it squares off against Florida Tech.
