Rangers Tabbed Fourth in RMAC Preseason Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) has officially released its 2025 Softball Preseason Coaches Poll, the Regis University has been chosen to finish fourth in the league.

The Rangers received 90 points in the poll, including one first-place vote.

Colorado Mesa topped the poll, earning 117 points with eight first-place nods. Colorado Christian came in second, narrowly edging out Metropolitan State University Denver in third, with 107 points (two first-place votes) while MSU Denver had 106 (one first-place vote).

Colorado State University Pueblo took fifth at 80 points, University of Colorado Colorado Springs came in sixth, collecting 68 points, Colorado School of Mines was chosen to take seventh, garnering 64 points, and Fort Lewis received 54 points for eighth place.

Black Hills State earned 33 points in the poll, taking ninth, just ahead of Chadron State's 30 points for 10th. New Mexico Highlands beat out Adams State for 11th by one points, 22-21.

11 points were awarded for a first-place vote, with one point less for each succeeding place (maximum score = 121). Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

The Rangers, led by first-year Head Coach Candi Letts, look to build upon their 2024 campaign that saw a 33-26 record (24-18 RMAC), an RMAC Tournament Championship, and a berth in to the NCAA Tournament.

Senior Pitcher Kylie Harpman headlines the key returners for the Rangers, after earning her third straight Second-Team All-Conference selection in 2024. She posted a 19-10 record in 2024, including 20 complete games, one shut out, one save, and a 3.44 ERA.

Junior Utility player Olivia Wick, coming off an All-RMAC Honorable Mention nod, also returns. Wick recorded 70 hits, 59 runs scored, 33 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases last season.

The Rangers being their season on Friday, Jan. 31 against Angelo State (Texas) at the UT-Tyler DII First Pitch Invitational.
