FULLERTON, Calif. – The Regis University Baseball team defeated California State University-Los Angeles Sunday afternoon, 8-4. The Rangers improve to 8-7, while Golden Eagles fall to 3-7.
GAME ONE
CJ Difiglia would be first on base with a walk.
Maxim Fullerton would bring him home with a homer over left field.
Adam Paniagua would follow with a single up the middle but would be left stranded. RU led 2-0 into the second. Paniagua and Fullerton would both be hit by pitch to start the third but were unable to make it home.
Regis would score four runs in the fifth with a homer from Paniagua and double from Barnao, Regis up 6-0. Eagles would find the board with one run in the bottom of the fifth. CSLA would get some hot bats in the bottom of the7th, with four hits and 2 runs. RU led 6-4. Peter goldy would get walked to start the 8
th inning followed by Clay Conn doubling to center field, Goldy would score. Fullerton would ground out but allowing Conn to score. Rangers ahead 8-4 going into the ninth. RU would win 8-4 to close out their California series.

Lino Zepeda recorded the loss.
CSLA totaled 12 hits while RU had nine.
