GOLDEN, Colo. – The Regis University Baseball team completed the series sweep of Colorado School of Mines with a 6-4 win on Sunday afternoon. The Rangers improve to 27-11 (17-3 RMAC), while the Orediggers drop to 11-30 (6-18 RMAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Orediggers took the first lead of the game, scoring in the bottom of the first inning despite a double play turned by the Rangers. Garrett Rede batted in Mattias with a single in the top of the third inning, followed by an RBI single from Adam Paniagua that brought home Clayton Conn. However, the Rangers would still strand two runners on base, and Mines evened the score at 2-2 on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame.
Peter Goldy was walked in the fourth inning, but CSM took back the lead with a solo home run in their half of the inning. George Smith doubled to lead off the fifth inning, then stole third to set up Conn's sac fly, tying the game at 3-3. The Orediggers would have another answer, taking back the advantage by scoring one run on a wild pitch.
Regis would start the seventh inning with back-to-back singles from Rede and Paniagua, and, who were both brought home on a single from Goldy. The Rangers added another run in the top of the ninth inning on a solo home run by Ethan Wood.
GAME NOTES
· Rede went 3-5 at the plate, batting in one run

· Jackson Babcock went 3-4 at the plate for Mines
Lucas Watson (1-0) earned the win, while Noach McCandless tabbed his fifth save. Seaver Newby (6-5) recorded the loss
