COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Lacrosse team, ranked #15 in the most recent IWLCA Top 25 Coaches Poll, finished their 2025 regular season with a 14-6 win at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Friday afternoon. The Rangers improve to 11- (9-1 RMAC), while the Mountain Lions fall to 9-5 (6-4 RMAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Mountain Lions would scored the first goal of the game, but the Rangers quickly responded with a goal from Justine Spahr, assisted by Becky Goetsch. Madeline Schallmoser then caused a turnover that would lead to another goal from Spahr, also assisted by Goetsch. Regis added two more goals in under :40 seconds, one by Lauren Sheets, and the other by Shea Murphy on a free position shot before UCCS stopped the run. Murphy forced a Mountain Lion turnover, and scored two more goals to put the Rangers up 6-2, and after another goal from Colorado Springs, Spahr ended the period with her third score.
Megan Bunker caused a pair of turnovers early in the second period, while Spahr would assist on Lexie Springman's first goal of the game. Murphy converted another free position shot, while Bunker set up another Springman goal. UCCS scored their only goal of the quarter at 8:45, and after Terah Skillings forced a turnover, Bunker found the net on a free position goal.
While UCCS scored the first goal of the second half, the Rangers would still extend their lead in the period. Murphy and Spahr both earned goals on free position shots, and Brigit Goetsch saved a shot on goal.
In the final period, Br. Goetsch added two more saves, and the snowy weather began to cause unforced errors from both teams. Kaitlynn Lazaro did produce a forced turnover, which would help lead to a Bunker goal on a free position shots. The Mountain Lions answered with one of their own, but the game was called due to weather with 2:46 left.

The Rangers now look ahead to the RMAC Tournament. The tournament is set for April 25 and 27 at the highest seed. Regis will either be the No. 2 or No. 1 seed, depending on the result of Colorado Mesa's final match.
