NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has released its 2026 Preseason Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, and Regis University comes in ranked #13.
The Rangers were #13 in the final edition of the 2025 Top 25 Coaches Poll, which was released at the end of the National Tournament last year. RU was ranked in every poll in the 2025 season, reaching their highest mark at #6.
Regis went 14-5 (9-1 RMAC) last season, securing their sixth straight RMAC regular season and Conference Tournament titles. The Rangers lost to the University of Indianapolis in the NCAA National Tournament Midwest Region Semifinal.
Key returners for Regis include senior midfielder Shea Murphy, a 2025 IWLCA All-American, graduate goalkeeper Brigit Goetsch, named a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Honorable Mention, and All-RMAC performers Alyse Valdez, Abby Mays, and Lexie Springman. 2024 Second Team All-Region performer Maggie Schipfer also returns to the lineup after missing most of 2025 due to injury.
The Rangers begin their season on Friday, Feb 20, hosting #6 Maryville University (MO). Other ranked opponents on RU's schedule include #24 Florida Tech (Feb 26), #3 Florida Southern (Mar 2), RV Rockhurst (MO) (Mar 9), and #5 UIndy (Mar 13).
