COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their player of the week awards for women's soccer this morning with Regis University being represented for the second straight week this season as the pair of Brielle Bickham and Maggie Payne earned honors.
Bickham was selected as this week's defensive player while Payne earned honors as the goalkeeper.
This was Payne's second straight week being recognized for this award after earning it for the first time of her career last week. In addition, this is the first time a Regis goalkeeper has earned multiple player of the week honors since the 2022 season.
Bickham's selection was the first in her career with her being the first defender to be named to this award since Morgan Black last season on Sept. 15.
The pair were selected as this week's recipients after helping lead the Rangers to a 2-0 week in conference play with two shutouts against a pair of the conference's top teams.
Payne finished her week with 14 saves and zero goals given up while facing 28 shots. She recorded her second and third solo shutouts in the wins while now serving as the RMAC's saves leader.
Bickham helped anchor the defense in those two games playing all 180 minutes possible and keeping UCCS scoreless who came into the weekend tied for the most goals in the RMAC.
Overall, Regis now has seven shutouts this season while only giving up two goals in conference play so far. The Rangers are also on a nine-game winning streak and are the first team in the RMAC to double digit wins.
Colorado School of Mines' Bella Campos was named as the conference's offensive player of the week to join the duo.
