NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has released its weekly Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, and Regis keeps their spot at #15.
The Rangers were ranked #15 in last week's poll., and #17 before that.
RU started the week at #2 Florida Southern, falling to the Mocs, 5-17. Brigit Goetsch saved 11 shots in the goal, while Lauren Sheets posted two points with a goal and assist. Ayla Cole forced two turnovers.
However, Regis rebounded later in the week, defeating Northern Michigan, 14-6. Aubrey Benton scored five goals, while Evie Tanella scored two and assisted another. As a team, RU landed 25/20 shots on goal. Defensively, Goetsch saved 15 attempts, while Cole and Krista Munsinger both forced three turnovers.
This week, the Rangers host Rockhurst University (Mo.) on Wednesday, and #3 UIndy (Ind.) on Friday.
