NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has released its weekly Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, and the Rangers come in at #19
Regis was #19 in last week's poll as well.
The Rangers won a pair of home games this week, securing at least a share of the regular season RMAC title for the seventh straight year. On Friday, Regis defeated Westminster, 16-5, avenging their lone RMAC loss. RU went up 5-1 in the first quarter and never looked back. Evie Tanella and Aubrey Benton both posted five points, while Tanella also added two caused turnovers, three draw controls, and a ground ball. Abby Mays forced five turnovers, and Brigit Goetsch saved 11 shots in the goal.
On Sunday, Regis downed Colorado Mesa, 14-8. Benton scored five more goals, and assisted one, while Maggie Schipfer and Kyla Bieker contributed four points apiece. Tanella recorded four GB and two CT. Krista Munsinger picked up four ground balls, while Goetsch recorded seven saves in the net.
The Rangers look ahead to the regular season finale on Saturday, April 18, hosting UCCS at 12 pm.
