Mason Grube caught a runner stealing in the bottom of the second, but despite third inning singles from George Smith and Jack Moulin, Mesa took the first lead of the game with a sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the inning
In the fourth, Linus Fleek earned a base by wearing a pitch, Iandoili singles, and Park Romney brought in Fleek with an RBI single, Iandoli then put Regis up, 2-1 scoring on an error. However, a three RBI homerun put CMU back in the lead, 4-2. Fleek singled in the fifth, but he and Ethan Wood were left on base.
