Arnold Named South Central Hitter of the Week

DENVER, Colo. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NWCBA) has announced its Division II Regional Players of the Week, and Regis University's Nicholai Arnold has been voted the South Central Region Hitter of the Week.

It is Arnold's first regional accolade, and he is the first Ranger to earn the honor since Adam Paniagua (3/16/25). He is joined by the Pitcher of the Week, Jackson Eisenhauer of Colorado Mesa.

Arnold went 11-for-17 (.647) with 10 RBI and 10 runs scored against Adams State last weekend, including a 3-for-4, five-RBI performance in Regis' 10-3 regular-season ending victory on Saturday that clinched the Rangers' spot in this week's RMAC Baseball Championship tournament. He opened the four-game set with a pair of hits, including a home run, and three RBI. Arnold then closed the regular season with three consecutive three-hit games, going 3-for-4, 3-for-5, before closing with his three-hitter in the regular season finale. He had a home run in three of the four games and posted a 1.294 slugging percentage during the week.

Arnold and the Rangers battle No. 1 seed Colorado Mesa in the first round of the RMAC Tournament tonight, May 6, at 7 pm.
