DENVER, Colo. – With their 10-3 win over Adams State University in the season finale, the Rangers have earned the No. 6 seed in the RMAC Baseball Championship Tournament.
Colorado Mesa is the No. 1 seed, MSU Denver earned No. 2, UCCS is No. 3, CSU Pueblo claimed No. 4, and Colorado School of Mines took No. 5.
The Rangers will play host Colorado Mesa (45-4, 31-1 RMAC) on Wednesday, May 6, at 7 pm in the First Round. The winner will play on Thursday at 3 pm, while the loser will play at 11 am on Thursday. The Mavericks took four games from Regis in their regular season series, April 17-19, 0-12, 2-9, 0-4, 3-10.
No. 2 seed MSU Denver (36-14, 24-8 RMAC) will face No. 5 seed Colorado School of Mines (18-31, 14-18 RMAC) in the 11 a.m., Wednesday tournament opener. The Roadrunners swept the RMAC series against the Orediggers back in mid-March.
No. 3 seed UCCS (32-17-1, 21-10-1 RMAC) and No. 4 seed Colorado State University Pueblo (26-24, 18-14 RMAC) are set to start at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. It will be the fifth consecutive game between the Mountain Lions and ThunderWolves after they split a four-game RMAC series to end the regular season.
