COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released the 2026 Women's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Poll this afternoon with the Regis Rangers being picked to finish 13th in this year's standings.
In each year's preseason poll each of the conference's 15 program's coaches come together to vote on projections without getting to vote for their own school. In addition, the RMAC's preseason team was also released in conjunction with the poll and is determined by placing returning athletes in order of their finish at last year's RMAC Championship.
The Rangers garnered 46 points in this year's poll for their 13th place prediction with them jumping up one spot higher than last year. They join the men's team who was also predicted to finish 13th which was released earlier today.
The Rangers enter this year after coming off a five-meet season in 2025 where they competed three times in the regular season and twice more in the postseason at the RMAC Championships and the NCAA DII South Central Regionals. They finished with multiple 6k record times being set at the Regionals.
Colorado School of Mines was predicted to win this year's conference title with them garnishing 190 total points and coming off a 2025 season that saw them win the RMAC Cross Country Championship and take second at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship. Adams State was voted closely behind in second with 189 points while UCCS took third with 165 points for the top three schools in the voting.
