LAS VEGAS – The Regis University women's golf team capped off the Warrior Vegas Invitational with a quality fourth-place showing at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club, where the Rangers closed out the two-day tournament with a 70-over par 646 team score on Tuesday.
Regis concluded the second round by recording a 34-over 322, which was two strokes fewer than the first round.
Sophomore
Trinity Corwin clipped three strokes off her first-round score to take third overall with a second-round score of 3-over 75 and carded a 9-over 153 for the tournament.
Junior
Kate Keuss contributed another competitive round of golf, shooting a 9-over 81 for the second round as part of her final score of 13-over 157, which was good enough for a share of fourth place.
Sophomore
Emma Winfree made a big move in the second round, cutting five strokes off her first-round result. Winfree recorded a 9-over 81 in her second round of 18 holes, which was included in her final score of 23-over 167 to finish tied for 21st overall.
Senior
Maddie Kern shot a 13-over 85 for the second round and accumulated a two-round score of 25-over 169 to earn a tie for 28th overall.
The quartet from Minot State finished first overall with a 53-over 629 over the two days. MSU improved upon its first-round score by 31 strokes, registering an 11-over 299 in the second round.
Senior Lexi Hanson of University of Sioux Falls won the Winona State-hosted tournament individually with a final score of 1-over 145. Hanson trimmed nine strokes off her first-round score by scoring a 4-under 68 in the second round.
RU will conclude the month of March at the March 23-24 TAMUC Lion Invitational, held at Trophy Club Country Club, in Trophy Club, Texas.
