FORT HAYS, Kan. - The Regis University baseball team (5-7-1, 0-0 RMAC) faced the Fort Hays States Panthers (1-10) Saturday in a doubleheader. Yesterday, the Rangers won game one of four by a margin of 12-8. Today, Regis took the opener with a score of 8-4, but fell in the closer 2-8.
Game One | How it Happened: After a scoreless first inning with sophomore

Levi Padilla's two RBI double, putting them up 3-0.
After adding another run in the third, Regis started to pile it on in the fifth. Sophomore
Braxton Boyle got the four-run inning going with a RBI single. Junior
Colten Chase scored on a FHSU error and Boyle scored from third after a double play at second and first. Freshman
Zach Daudet made the score 8-0 when he had a RBI single.
The Panthers made a small comeback in the fifth and sixth innings by scoring four runs, but Senior pitcher
Michael May made sure things didn't get out of hand when he closed the game.
Game Notes: May and De Leon combined for five strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Sophomore
Logan Deskin, who had a brief appearance, rang up one batter.
Daudet led RU with a perfect 3-3 performance in the box. He also had a team-high two assists.Â
Padilla was 2-4 and had a game-high two RBI.
Chase was also 2-4.
Boyle was 2-3.

Reagan Guthrie led with six putouts.

Regis was really put in a hole in the fourth inning when Fort Hays State sent home five runs on Shepardson, junior

Brevin Owen was a part of the only two Regis runs in the fifth and seventh. He sac flied in the fifth and had a RBI single in the seventh.
In the end, RU fell 8-2 in game three.
Game Notes: Seven Rangers had one hit in the game.
