RMAC Release

DENVER, Colo. —
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced Friday that Regis University senior Lucy Johnson has been named the Women's Lacrosse Summit Award winner, resented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA that is also competing at the site of the finals for their sport's championship.

A native of nearby Colorado Springs, Johnson has shined on and off the field during her time as a Ranger. She currently boasts a 4.0 GPA with 104 completed credit hours as a Health major and is a two-time First Team All-Academic winner.

On the field, Johnson has had a career season for the No. 3 ranked Rangers as she has set new career highs with 20 goals scored and 26 total points while starting 13 of 15 games entering this weekend's RMAC Tournament. She will be recognized on the field prior to the Rangers' semi-final game against Fort Lewis College, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above, who have participated in their sport at their institution for at least two years. Graduate students are not eligible to win the award. All GPAs are based on a straight-grading scale to ensure consistency among nominees. All ties are broken by the total number of credit hours completed through the most recently concluded semester.
