South Central Regional Tournament action pushed back 24 hours due to rain

| By:
LUBBOCK, Texas — Earning the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2012, the Regis University baseball team will have to wait just a little bit longer to get back on the field at the South Central Regional Tournament. Heavy rains in the forecast for the Lubbock area on Thursday forced tournament officials to push the start of the tournament back 24 hours.

No. 4 seed Regis (32-22-1 overall) is not set to square off against No. 5 seed Texas Permian Basin at 1 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Friday at Hays Field on the No. 1 seed Lubbock Christian University campus.

The winner of Friday's game would advance to a 3 p.m. contest (MT) on Saturday, while the loser of Friday's game would play again later that same evening at 5 p.m. (Mountain Time) against top-seed Lubbock Christian (41-14 overall), the Lone Star Conference regular season and tournament champions.
