Regis to face Tampa in NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship semi-finals

| By:
WINTER PARK, Florida — The No. 5 ranked Regis University women's lacrosse team, winners of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament last weekend, will now take aim at earning the program's first national championship this week down in Winter Park, Florida.

Regis (20-1 overall) has been re-seeded as the No. 3 team for the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship semi-finals on Thursday and will square off against No. 2 seed University of Tampa (17-3 overall) at 4:30 p.m. (MT) at Showalter Stadium.

Tampa is making its first NCAA Final Four appearance, while the Rangers are making the program's third semi-final appearance since going in back-to-back years in 2018 and 2019.

The winner of Thursday's semi-final matchup would advance to face the winner of No. 1 Adelphi and No. 4 East Stroudsburg in the Division II National Championship game on Saturday. First draw would be scheduled for 10 a.m. (MT).

Regis holds a 2-0 record all-time against Tampa, defeating the Spartans, 20-19, in 2019 and by an 11-10 margin in 2022.

The Rangers earned their way to the NCAA Division II Championships with a pair of thrilling one-goal wins last week in the DII Midwest Regional Tournament, knocking off Grand Valley State University in overtime (13-12) and upending top-seeded Maryville (10-9) in the final seconds.
