DENVER, Colo. - The Regis men's soccer team recorded its fourth straight draw on Saturday afternoon, knotting 1-1 with Biola University (Calif.). Though the team's loss column remains unblemished, the Rangers have yet to taste victory and sit at 0-0-4 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers drew first blood with a goal from Liam Corr 20 minutes into the game. Corr is a familiar presence on the pitch as a returning sophomore with 14 starts in his freshman campaign. He tallied his first goal of the season in today's match, adding to a 2024 stat line that consists of an assist and six shots, three of which were on goal.
The Ranger defense kept the Eagles quiet for the remainder of the first half, and the home team possessed the ball heavily in the beginning of the second. Biola's Ethan Hardin converted on a penalty kick at 54:25, evening the score at 1-1.
Despite the Rangers' gritty effort to the final buzzer, they did not find the score sheet for the rest of the game. The Rangers dominated the Eagles in shot opportunities, shooting 12 times to Biola's five. Regis keeper Greg Squire recored one save in his 90 minutes in net. Elias Taubo took two strong shots on goal.
A hungry Ranger squad returns to the pitch later this week in its final two matched before RMAC competition kicks off on September 26.
