Rangers Picked 15th in RMAC Coaches Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has released its 2025-26 Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll, and the Rangers have been picked to finish 15th with 21 points.

Teams receive 14 points for a 1st place vote, 13 for a 2nd, etc., and coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams.

Regis will look to shake things up this season under the leadership of new head coach Jason Kohler. The Rangers, who earned the No. 6 seed in the RMAC and a trip to the first round of the RMAC Tournament last season, return two key veterans: senior guard Mary Crossland and senior forward Jessica Bollwahn.

At the top of the preseason coaches' poll, Colorado Mesa leads the pack with nine first-place votes and 191 points, returning RMAC Player of the Year Olivia Reed Thyne. UCCS follows closely in second place with six first-place votes and 181 points. Adams State ranks third with 159 points, while Western Colorado (150) and Colorado School of Mines round out the top five.

The middle of the standings features Black Hills State (127 points), CSU Pueblo (121), and New Mexico Highlands (117) in sixth through eighth place.
Rounding out the poll, MSU Denver sits ninth with 89 points, followed by Colorado Christian (75), South Dakota Mines (56), Fort Lewis (54), Westminster (47), and Chadron State (46) to complete the rankings.

The race for the 2025-26 RMAC regular-season title starts on Tuesday, Dec. 2 with two weeks of action before resuming on Tuesday, Jan. 6 to its conclusion on February 28.  The top eight teams qualify for the RMAC Women's Basketball Tournament to be played March 3 and 6-7 at campus sites.

The RMAC's women's basketball teams are looking to finish 2025-26 at the UMPC's Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the host of the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championships. The national quarterfinals are set for March 24 followed by the national semifinals on March 26 and the national championship on March 28.

All RMAC women's basketball games broadcast by its 15 full-member institutions will only be available for purchase via a single-game pass or a monthly or annual subscription. Revenue generated by the network will be redistributed to the league's membership to enhance their programs.

A discounted annual subscription price will be available to students, faculty, and staff of each member institution throughout the year. Purchasing options and pricing for individual RMAC Championships will be announced closer to each event.
