Rangers Clinch Spot in the RMAC Tournament

DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Soccer team has officially clinched a spot in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship Tournament.

Despite falling to Fort Lewis in their most recent match, other results in the league guaranteed the Rangers a spot in the tournament. RU currently holds a 5-2-3 record in league play. Due to a Fort Lewis-Colorado Mesa match earlier in the season that was canceled due to weather and could not be rescheduled, qualification is based on points per match instead of total points. Regis is currently at 1.80 PPM.

RU is the fifth team to secure a spot, along with Colorado Mesa, UCCS, Colorado School of Mines, and Fort Lewis.

The top eight seeds earn a spot in the tournament. The first round is a matchup between the #7 and #8 seeds, with the winner taking on the #2 seed in the quarterfinals. Also in that round are matchups between #4 vs #5, and #3 vs #6. The #1 seed gets a bye until the semifinals. The first round and quarterfinal matches will be played at the higher seed. The semifinal matches and championship will be hosted by the regular-season champion when decided.

Regis has qualified for the RMAC Tournament every year since 1999, being crowned the champs in 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2010. Regis lost to Fort Lewis in the First Round in 2024.

The Rangers conclude the regular season with a match at Colorado Mesa on Sunday, November 2, and host Black Hills State in the finale on November 5. The First Round starts on November 7.
