COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) has released the ninth edition of its Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week, and Regis University's Shea Murphy has been voted the league's Offensive Player of the Week.
This is Murphy's second weekly accolade, and she is joined by the Defensive Player of the Week, Breonna Mason of CSU Pueblo
The junior midfielder took over the game in Regis's 14-11 win over Colorado Mesa University. She scored six goals, and assisted one for seven points. She landed nine of her 11 shots on goal, and added three draw controls, one caused turnover, and one ground ball. Additionally, in the Rangers' 13-9 victory over Westminster, she contributed six draw controls, four ground balls and one assist.
The Rangers are now tied atop the RMAC standings with Mesa, and look ahead to the regular season finale at UCCS on Friday at 4 PM.
