Three Rangers Earn All-America Accolades

DENVER, Colo. – Three members of the Regis University Women's Lacrosse team have been honored at the highest level, collecting All-American awards from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and USA Lacrosse Magazine.

Shea Murphy, Jr., M/A – The IWLCA voted Murphy to the All-America Third-Team, and she was also selected to the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Second Team, marking the first national honors of her career. One of the most prolific scorers in the nation, Murphy scored 64 goals and assisted on 10 more for a total of 74 points. 106 of her 136 shots landed on goal (.779 %). She controlled 68 draws, collected 33 ground balls, and caused 16 turnovers. Murphy also earned a First Team All-Region and First Team All-RMAC nod this season.

Madeline Schallmoser, Sr., D – Schallmoser received an All-America Honorable Mention nod from USA Lacrosse this year. The First Team All-Region and All-RMAC performer, and RMAC Defensive Player of the Year was among the nation's leaders in ground balls collected (56). She also forced 28 turnovers, scored 11 goals and assisted on four. Schallmoser controlled 15 draws and landed 28 shots on goal. This is her first career All-America accolade.

Brigit Goetsch, Sr., GK – The Ranger's defensive anchor joins her teammate as a USA Magazine Honorable Mention selection, also her first All-America honor. Her .497 save % ranked in the top-10 in all of NCAA DII, and she was among the national leaders in saves (158) and goals against average (9.04). Additionally, she picked up 48 ground balls, and caused six turnovers. Goetsch earned a spot on the All-Region First-Team and All-RMAC Second Team this year.
